Coach Arties Knight of the Palmetto Raiders Youth Development Club serves children that come from families that live at or below the poverty level. They have developed outstanding athletes on the football field and cultivated the necessary self-esteem and self-discipline that these children need as they make their way in the world. Many Palmetto Raider alumni go on to successful college careers and some return to give back to the Raiders as volunteers and coaches.
Coach Knight knows first hand how committed Barry and Renee Honig are to providing whatever is needed to support youth development in South Florida. “I don’t know where we’d be without them and others like them.” The Honig’s support of the Raiders goes back to 2003 and continues with financial grants and donations of equipment, such as football helmets, cleats and uniforms for the kids.
Barry Honig, and his wife, Renee, are committed to ensuring that impoverished youth get the chance to participate in the Raiders activities, through financial donations to purchase equipment for the kids.
